When I first found out my love for surface pattern design I started by studying how to make vector patterns. Most of my vector patterns are based on original scanned hand sketchings. I like casual lines. An exciting moment in the process is to see how motifs turn out after vectorising, it is like adding another layer to a story of the print. After that it is easy to try different composes and color variations for different moods. And of course then the scaling is unlimited.
