A print inspired by Rosa Rugosa. This is very common flower nowadays in Finland across the country in backyards and roadsides. The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry has added the flower to a list of harmful invasive plant species in Finland. The importation and sale of the plant has been banned few years now and agricultural authorities are calling for the plant to be eradicated from gardens, parks, beaches, roadsides over the next years. Though, for me it looks like a pretty, nicely smelling flower. It’s a sign of summer to walk by and brings a memory of the Finnish summer scene with warm and bright nights.
